Walk as if...

"Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet."

I remember the first time I read these words. It was as if everything around me stopped for a moment. I stopped for a moment. I felt the silence. I heard the silence. Because I felt and heard these words.

And then I knew, there could be no other grace. No higher dignity or gratitude, than to walk the earth like this. Actually, I almost believe, it is a responsibility. A sign of respect. For this Earth. And for ourselves.

So yes. "Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet."

And when you do, you'll understand. The grace. The dignity. The gratitude. It'll never be the same.
