"Decide. Simply decide.
Listen to your instinct. That first little
thought within.
That little voice we so often dismiss. Trust it. Honour
it.
And everything else perfectly falls into place."
Angela Gwinner
There is such a beautiful liberty in making a decision. Declaring a choice. And it's your God given power as well.
Deepak Chopra once said, "If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another.
The universe has no fixed agenda. Once you make any decision, it works around that decision. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience."
A decision brings clarity. Not only in the sense of seeing and knowing, but making a decision and declaring it, also clears the path before you. When you make that decision, it is as though you are setting the destination in your navigation, and life starts to lead the way. Sometimes with the short cuts, sometimes with the scenic route. Occassionally there's a traffic jam, but relax... The destination still hasn't changed. And sometimes, you don't know what that reason is good for either... So just take a deep breath.
I hold two beliefs. The one being that life and our destiny sit in the driver's seat and lead the way. But I also believe, that life quite often likes to be told, with a clarity, where it is that we want to go. Call it your personal taxi driver.
We make so many decisions through out the day. And we make those decisions without thinking, simply responding to our need or our want. Think of it as standing at the coffee bar and giving your order. If you smile, decide that you want a latté macchiatto, and say the magic word thank you, do you start to fear and doubt that they might serve you an espresso? Or even serve you at all?
No. You carry on with your conversations, pick a place to sit, let your mind wander to a pleasant thought. You carry on with life knowing that your latté macchiatto will arrive.
And that's the way it is with life. A decision is a manifestation. And it is a liberty. And it is a God given power.
Much Loves,
Angela.
