"My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to find peace with exactly who and what I am. To take pride in my thoughts, my appearance, my talents, my flaws and to stop this incessant worrying that I cannot be loved as I am."
My Beautiful Words on Facebook. Encouraging Courage. To Be Yourself.
"I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be."
My Beautiful Words on Facebook.
Sharing Life. Sharing Passion.
My soul recognizes your soul. I honour the love, light, beauty, truth and kindness within you because it is also within me. In sharing these things there is no distance and no difference between us. We are the same. We are one.
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
"A superhero is someone who invites her wisest, bravest, most alive self to come out and play. This doesn’t mean having all the answers, being unshakably strong or performing dramatic feats of heroism. It means being someone like you and someone like me. Someone who is anxious and uncertain. Someone who wants to live a juicy, full, courageous life, but doesn’t always know how. And someone who understands that vulnerability just might be the greatest superpower of all."
In Germany, there is a video being passed around. A video of Julia Engelmann, a poetry slam and her words. And it is making people stop, and think, and be touched.
And the words that personally and most powerfully struck me...
"Courage is just an anagram for Happiness."
This is just a simple and rough translation of her message.
Do not let us only speak of staying up until the skies turn purple. Do not let us only speak of all the stories we could have written. Let us do the brave things, the crazy things. Let us have the courage to take off our masks, and see that underneath it all, we really are the same. Let us have the courage to look each other in the eye and to let someone know, just how much they really mean. Because one day we will be old. And one day there won't be enough time. And let us have courage. Because courage is just an anagram for happiness.
Thank you Julia.
I think we all needed that message. That little reminder.
"Life is a spiritual dance and our unseen partner has steps to teach us if we will allow ourselves to be led. The next time you are restless, remind yourself, it is the universe asking 'Shall we Dance?' "
"My hope and wish is that one day, formal education will pay attention to what I call 'Education of the Heart.' Just as we take for granted the need to acquire proficiency in the basic academic subjects, I am hopeful that a time will come when we can take it for granted that children will learn, as part of the curriculum, the indispensability of inner values. Love, compassion, justice, and forgiveness."
"Your time is limited, so do not waste it living someone else’s life. Do not be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Do not let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your own heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
Those are the words I wrote to myself this morning. On paper. With pen. A loving reminder, I needed to remind myself of. I want everything I do to be filled with love, the essence and core of love. I
want it to leave little trails behind, a gold dust of trails... The
words I write here, I want to those words to be written with love. When I
sit down to do my work, put my projects in motion, I want that to be
done with love. When I pick up the phone, either to answer or to call, I
want that to be done with love. When I pour myself a cup of tea, that
too, I will do with love. I don't want to leave anything out. Not a
single step, not a single thought, not a single moment. And I
will speak these words again and again, remind myself again and again,
"Do it with love. Do it with Love. Do it all with Love.". I
believe when put love back into the focus of all that we do, that is
when a shift occurs. Within us, but also around us. It becomes the
energy we nurture ourselves with. It becomes the energy we surround
ourselves with. Yes, maybe it becomes this little gold dust that we
laughingly throw into the air and it does this beautiful dance around
us. Yes, maybe it becomes our secret supernatural power... That little
something that leaves people around you, wondering and saying in a Harry
and Sally kind of way... "I'll have what she's having." And
maybe we'll never know of all the wonders and miracles and changes that
our love can give and put into the world. But then again, maybe it's not
even about that. Maybe it's simply about all the wonders and miracles
and changes that our love first puts into our own life and world. And
the rest... It just all simply and easily falls into place. I wanted to share that with you today. Because just maybe, you needed that reminder too... So here it is, with Love. Angela.
Decide right now, how you are going to choose to live your day...
There is clarity in decisions. There is power in decisions.
And liberty too.
And the moment you decide, you also declare. Deeply within.
You go into resonation with your declaration. And life joins you.
And should something or someone bring a challenge along to test your decision, your declaration... Take a deep breath, silently decide and declare once again. And remember, there too, you have a choice... Your resonation. Or their resonation.
The choice is always yours.
So go ahead, decide right now, how you are going to choose to live your day.
"Love should be like breathing. It should be just a quality in you, wherever you are, with whomsoever you are, or even if you are alone, Love goes on overflowing from you. It is not a question of being in Love with someone, it is a question of being Love."
Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there
may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good
terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen
to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for
always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in
your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing
fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of
trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many
persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical
about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as
perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the
things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden
misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many
fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a
child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a
right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is
unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you
conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the
noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its shams,
drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
